Qualifications and Responsibilities

Applicant must have a minimum of a master’s degree, along with a LCSW, LPC, or LMFT New Jersey license is required. Candidates are required to create treatment plans for behavioral assistants, (BA) oversee treatment, and provide direct care to children and youth. Experience working with children and youth is required.

Responsibility include evaluations, intervention and consultation to children and families in a home or community setting; providing crisis intervention as needed; as well as, indicative principles of knowledge that improve and develop over the life span. The selected candidate will also be engaged to interact and instruct, provide individually or in a small group setting, to the child, youth or young adult’s family and/or caregiver(s) to enable them to provide the necessary supports to attain the desired goals of the service plan.

Experience:

  1. Social Work: 2 year (Preferred)

BEHAVIORAL ASSISTANTS

A Better Me, Inc. is looking for Behavioral Assistants to provide services to children and adolescents in Southern New Jersey. We are an intensive based and family-centered mental health server with a set of defined interventions. These services encompass a variety of mental health rehabilitative services including, but not limited to, group, individual or family therapy, allied behavioral therapies and modalities, clinical consultative, evaluation and counseling. The services are provided in the family home and/or in other community settings. Behavioral Assistants will work under the direction of a licensed clinician to provide behavioral interventions to children and adolescents.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree
  2. Two years’ experience within a behavioral health work environment and at least two year of experience working with children.
  3. Must have reliable transportation with a valid and current New Jersey license.
  4. Fingerprinting/Criminal background check
  5. Degree/Transcript Review
  6. Reference Checks
